Peter Reichl is full professor for computer science and heading the research group "Cooperative Systems" (COSY) at the University of Vienna. His main research interests include network economics and communication ecosystems, Quality of Experience and future cooperative systems.
Florin Ciucu is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at the University of Warwick, UK. His research interests are in the performance analysis of computer and communication networks.
Short Description of the area
Network and Traffic Management provides an
important application of teletraffic theory to the reality of productive
systems. We especially encourage submissions that present recent advances in
network and service management, together with novel mechanisms and tools for
network traffic and bandwidth control. In addition, we invite submissions that
consider emerging technologies, pervasive systems and cloud environments,
and/or include interdisciplinary (e.g. economic) management perspectives.
List of Topics
- Technologies and architectures for network and traffic/service
management
- Network manageability, scalability, fault tolerance, reliability, and troubleshooting
- SDNs and network programming
- Traffic modelling/analysis and resource allocation
- Flow and congestion control, routing, scheduling, and buffer management
- Cross-layer optimization and control
- MAC, MIMO, interference and mobility management
- Interdisciplinary network management paradigms (e.g., network economics)
