Dr Arup Acharya is a
Computer Scientist in IBM Research. His
current focus is on creating
'born-on-the-cloud' solution ecosystem
centered on live video, social networking and analytics. His past work
includes Unified Communications and Mobile Computing.
Patrick P. C. Lee is now an Associate Professor of
the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Chinese University of
Hong Kong. His research interests are in
various applied/systems topics including storage systems, distributed systems
and networks, operating systems, dependability, and security.
Short Description of the area
The focus
of this area is to solicit submissions that present novel and original findings
in cloud services and networking. In
particular, we are interested in the design, modeling, and evaluation of
network architectures, protocols, applications, and services that are related
to cloud computing and storage technologies.
