ITC 27 has set up two prestigious awards: a Best Paper Award and a Best Student Paper Award. These awards are offered both on the scientific quality of the paper and the oral presentation of the contribution. From the accepted papers, a list of semi-finalists has been selected by the TPC. A jury designates then the recipients of the awards after all presentations have been made.

• Best Paper Award:
  This award is granted to the best contribution being presented during ITC 27 among all contributions. The award consists of 1000 EUR and an award certificate.

  The ITC 27 Best Paper Award has been awarded to Fabrice Guillemin for the paper "The Power of Randomized Routing in Heterogeneous Loss Systems" (Arpan Mukhopadhyay, Ravi R. Mazumdar, Fabrice M. Guillemin).

• ITC International Student Paper Award:
  This award is conferred to the best paper whose first author is a full-time student at the time of submission of the paper and is the presenter of the accepted paper at the conference. The award consists of 650 EUR and an award certificate.

  The ITC 27 Best Student Paper Award has been awarded to Danilo Giordano for the paper "YouLighter: An Unsupervised Methodology to Unveil YouTube CDN Changes" (Danilo Giordano, Stefano Traverso, Luigi Grimaudo, Marco Mellia, Elena Baralis, Alok Tongaonkar, Sabyasachi Saha.
