The rapid evolution of communication and telecommunication industries driven by technological advances and new business models calls for continual reappraisal of the methods used for their analysis, control and management. Over the past five decades, ITC has provided a forum for leading researchers from academia and industry to address some of these key methodological approaches for the design and control of networks with increasing focus on applications. In addition to improving efficiency and performance, there is also a need for understanding the benefits and costs of emerging architectural shifts for the future Internet. What network control and optimization issues are raised by virtualization and cloud computing? What design principles might help simplify migration of communication networks to become information centric and flow-aware? What architectural elements and business models are needed to meet user expectations for service quality, reliability and security?
Now held annually, ITC solicits submission of original contributions in traditional traffic and performance of computer communication networks as well as emerging architectural topics outlined above. While technical correctness is an obvious requirement, ITC 24 encourages contributions that address novel topics, pioneer disruptive paradigms, or propose innovative models and techniques. Publications and awards
All accepted contributions will appear as full papers in the conference proceedings with oral presentations. ITC offers two prestigious awards: a General Best Paper Award and a Best Student Paper Award.
