University of Vienna
Währinger Straße 29
1090 Vienna
Located in the Währinger Straße, the new Computer Sciences building, designed by NMPB Architekten ZT GmbH, was first opened to the public in October 2012. It houses the Department of Computer Sciences, as well as the Department of Communication of the University of Vienna. Its six floors provide a working space for over 225 employees, and 1,110 students.
Owing to its central location and its proximity to excellent mass-transit connections, it is a sought-after venue for national and international congresses, and conventions. It is equipped with three auditoriums, as well as eleven seminar rooms, and state-of-the-art technology available for talks, lectures and workshops.
The library is located on the first floor and the two lower floors, which provide enough space for study desks and approximately 300,000 books.
