Advances in network technologies and new applications are reshaping modern network architectures. On the one hand, network softwarization is making the network switching and routing components much more flexible than they have never been. High programmability is now a desirable property for network nodes both for control and data plane features, in order to provide a chance to tightly couple orchestration of network and system resources. On the other hand, the need to deliver at the same time massive content retrieval application and challenging interactive communications across the network is calling for novel architectures, solutions and protocols that can accommodate these diverse workloads. This area calls for papers that address related research questions and the broad area of network architectures.
