Description: The International Teletraffic Congress (ITC) community has been instrumental in developing the modern society through innovation in communication technology. From telephony to ATM, IP and wireless, the ITC community has solved many difficult problems to make networks more reliable and cost effective. These reliable networks have been the foundation of the information age that we currently live in. The Workshop on ICT standards has been created to help the ITC community to get engaged in what we collectively consider as important standard’s decision that will affect life. With myriad of standards and difficulty in following them, this session would be a one-stop place to connect with what are important concepts that are being standardized.

Description: In the streamline of the previous PROCON Workshop at ITC28, the Soft5 workshop will be devoted to providing a deep and critical insight on the evolution of 5G networks and cloud/fog computing technologies. The objective of the workshop will be to create a cross-cutting and twofold view on: (a) how future networks could be "softwarized" in any of their segments and customized (from the radio access to the core) through the exploitation of state-of-the-art (cloud) virtualization means; and (b) how future
applicative fog/cloud services might evolve on top of these platforms to rovide new capabilities and a full integration with the Internet of Things.

Four different formats for discussing are foreseen.
