Smart phones, tablets and other handheld devices have been widely used worldwide these days. Coupling these with many other “things” such as vehicles, embedded devices, machines, sensors and appliances, human users and the “Internet of Things” will place huge demands for mobile and wireless communication and computing services, which cannot be satisfied with current technology. To meet these demands, future 5G wireless networks with heterogeneous air interfaces (including advanced antenna and networking techniques), small or ultra-dense cells are being investigated, prototyped and tested at industrial and academic research laboratories. In parallel, software defined capabilities, both at the network and radio level, including virtualization and orchestration techniques are playing a major role. Despite ongoing efforts, many technical challenges and issues remain to be addressed, which also motivate consider research efforts in our community. This track solicits original papers on the latest advances in wireless and cellular networks. The list of topics are given below.

Steven Latré, University of Antwerpen - imec, Belgium
Steven Latré is professor at the University of Antwerp and the research centre imec in Belgium. He is leading the Internet & Data Lab (IDLab) Antwerp research group, which focuses on wireless networking and communications. His research interests include wireless networks and multi-agent learning.
